Health and Safety
The health of the human work force is key to consistency and sustainability in any business. PWS upholds this vital policy to ensure the health of its staff are not ignored when conducting our business. We ensure that our staff are safeguarded from being exposed to potential health risks in the activities we perform. This involves adequately assessing tasks or doing risk assessments to ascertain the type and level of health risks that may be involved in any activity we undertake. This may include field assessments and review of material SDS to ensure we provide the correct PPE to our workers and use safe methods to perform tasks. We ensure our employees are physically fit for work and where required, medical checks are done to prove fitness for duty.
Safety comes first as most would say in this modern working industry. At PWS it is more than just a saying but a priority and a strong policy upheld by the company to ensure zero injuries and incidents. We ensure all works performed are assessed from a safety perspective to identify and be guided by best safety practices and principles from both our internal process and from clients that provide recommendations where required. It is also mandatory that our staff undergo in-house safety inductions and are adequately trained for all activities they are engaged in. We are also open to participate in our clients’ safety inductions and trainings that are compulsory in order to perform activities on our clients’ sites.
The safety of our work force works hand-in hand with the health of each individual to perform to the best of their ability, hence the company pays close attention to these key policies of health and safety. General safety programs and safety meetings are held by the company for staff awareness and where compulsory to meet clients’ expectations, other external trainings can be arranged such as first aid training, emergency response training, occupational health and safety training courses etc.
The company also ensures that the activities we perform are reviewed and safe work method statements or task safety steps are compiled to ensure critical job steps with environmental, health and safety risks are not overlooked to prevent work place injuries or incidents.
